Spanish musician Jorge Arribas began his musical studies in 1992 at the Conservatorio de Valladolid, earning degrees in accordion and flute. From the start, he balanced classical training with a strong connection to folk and popular music, performing in Ángel Huidobro’s accordion orchestra and collaborating with various ensembles.
In 2001, he entered the Conservatorio Superior de Madrid, continuing his accordion studies while touring internationally with prominent Spanish folk and rock bands, including La Musgaña and Celtas Cortos.
After graduating in 2005, Arribas expanded his career with collaborations alongside Javier Paxariño and Nacho Mastretta, while also launching personal projects such as Taper Duel (2005), Fetén Fetén (2009), and Primitive Grooves (2016).
In 2019, he earned a master’s degree in Music Therapy. Since then, he has remained active across multiple fronts, performing solo and educational concerts, composing for theater and audiovisual media, recording educational materials, and collaborating with artists like David Herrington. He also teaches accordion at the Centro Superior Música Creativa and in the Master’s Program in Iberian Folk Music.
